THE ENNEAGRAM'S GIFT TO LIFE AND LOVE | What is the Enneagram system of nine personality styles all about? Why is the Enneagram found everywhere on our planet regardless of race, religion, nationality, literacy? What makes us react so habitually? Keeps us making the same mistakes? Causes us to react negatively? How does the Enneagram affect our relationships? Remember, our vital relationships are the foundation upon which we thrive or wither. What makes for healthy relationships? How can the Enneagram transform our most important relationships? How can we deepen and heal these relationships?

This in depth workshop, for the first time, interweaves both a vivid introduction to the system with the vital ways the Enneagram understandings of type can be applied powerfully to heal, develop, and strengthen our vital relationships. It is designed for all who want to discover their Enneagram type, know themselves better, and deepen and enhance their primary relationships, whether these are partners, family members, close work associates, significant friendships, or practitioners working with relationship issues. For each type we will explore the fundamentals of the nine personality structures, our type-based patterns and their effect on relationships, key issues and vulnerabilities, personal reactivity, acceptance and change, manifesting of the essential qualities, and specific tasks for personal development. Format includes lecture, panels, guided interactions, inner practices, a “The Tour of the Types,” exercises, panels, and discussion. You will have the chance to determine your type, if you don’t already know it.

FRIDAY EVENING features an “Introduction to the Enneagram” – 6:30 to 9:30pm. Presented by Dr. Daniels and Susan Olesek, this is a recommended pre-requisite for those with little or no knowledge of the Enneagram. This 3-hour evening offers a fascinating and dynamic introductory experience and one that prepares participants for the program ahead. At the completion of the introduction, participants will be able to identify and evaluate their patterns of thought, feeling, and behavior in relationships.

This workshop and Introductory is sometimes held at the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto at 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto, CA 94303. For additional information about the facility call: 650 223 8700

SUSAN OLESEK, BA (Sociology) is a certified Enneagram Facilitator and has been immersed in the field of Enneagram studies for the past eleven years. She passionately teaches this enlightening system in her private practice, through her work in churches, in the local community, to business people, and in prisons. Susan brings a lively compassion to her instruction to groups from all walks of life, by holding the space for self-discovery with presence, keen insight, and kindness. “We have the benefit of living and breathing conflict and resolution several times a day. The Enneagram informs each of my relationships more deeply than any other resource I have available to me. It has helped me to be a more patient parent and a more understanding partner.” Susan adds that it has helped her to really notice and therefore value people as different from each other and from herself. “The Enneagram,” says Susan, “has allowed me to understand and appreciate ‘my own company’ with compassion and kindness.”
